Arrival Day
Day 1
The First Stone
We begin this journey with a late morning visit to Saqqara, where the Step Pyramid rises from the desert. Humanity’s first defiance in stone, and a spark that would come to define Egypt for thousands of years.
We continue our journey along the Nile. Take a flight to Egypt’s ancient capital - Luxor, where we spend the evening at a hotel of your choice.

Day 2
Gates of the Afterlife
Today, the Valley of the Kings opens up before you. Tombs hidden and sealed in passageways that spiral into the earth, painted with colors that remain thousands of years after they were forgotten. Nearby - Hatschepsut’s temple, Deir El Bahari, terraces rise, her story etched into the walls of a monument that is only rivaled by a very few. As we return to our hotel we make a stop at the Colossi of Memnon, and listen for the hymns of a time long passed.
The remainder of the day is reserved for relaxation and reflection at your hotel.
Day 3
City of Living Gods
Today, you step into the heart of the Pharaoh’s ancient capital. Karnak, the ancient temple complex built over dynasties of some of Egypt’s most famous Pharaohs. Hacked into the walls you see stories that span hundreds of years. Lifted towards the sky you see pillars and columns spread into what becomes the biggest temple complex in the world.
As we return we check into our cruise for a relaxed afternoon. After dinner, we visit the temple dedicated to the moon - the Luxor Temple - illuminated in the dark as we walk the same path the Pharaoh’s did during one of their most sacred festivals.
Day 4
War & Memory
Who created these monuments? Who dug into the bedrock and painted the tombs? The answer is simple - skilled artisans. Today, we venture into their terrain - to Deir El-Medina or as it was known in ancient Egypt - into The Place of Truth.
On our way back we stop at the Mortuary Temple of Ramesses III, Medinet Habu. A fortress built to honor one of the greatest conquerers the world has seen. Shielded by its massive mud brick walls - it stands as one of the most well-preserved temples in all of Egypt.
We return to our cruise ship and begin sailing the Nile towards Aswan.

Day 5
The Falcon’s Domain
In the morning the crocodile temple of Kom Ombo stands silent. Hidden under centuries of trash, excavated - it reveals a dual temple dedicated to both the god of the Nile Sobek and the mythological king of Egypt - depicted as a Falcon - Horus.
As the sun walks the sky - we sail onward until we reach the falcon’s domain. The Edfu temple stands large and preserved. Dedicated to Horus - it tells the oldest story of Egypt. The birth, the betrayal and the coronation of its first king.

Day 6
Patience of the Nile
This morning you’re introduced to the island world of Aswan. Here on the island Agilika stands a temple saved from a fate of erasue. The Philae temple. On its walls you’ll see scenes of festivals and instruments, as well as remnants of people using it as shelter far later than the time of Pharaohs.
We continue onward to a place very different from the rest. Here - you’ll see the unfinished obelisk. An obelisk still stuck in the cliffs it was supposed to be extracted from. Cracked and left in the sunshine, it looms larger than any other obelisk in all of Egypt.
We spend the rest of the day relaxing on our cruise in this archeapelleago.
Day 7
Ramesses - The Eternal
An early morning sees us go by bus to one of the greatest ancient monuments in the world. Abu Simbel - built on the orders of Ramesses The Great, nothing else in Egypt captures its essence. As a declaration of the greatness of Egypt, it stands - facing the land of Nubia, as a dare - to challenge anyone to even dare walk within its borders.
We return by bus to the island world of Aswan - where we check into our hotel and spend the remainder of the day relaxing and taking it all in, before sailing the Nile on a felluca as the sun sets golden.
Day 8
The River’s Rest
We spend the morning at our hotel, a calm breakfast, time by the pool, relaxing at the room before a transfer to the airport - where we’ll return to Cairo and open the last pages of our journey.

Day 10
Faces of Time
Over the days that have passed we’ve visited temples and tombs, heard memories and stories of the Pharao’s and their extraordinary lives. Today, you’ll meet them - in their own forms, in the flesh. We begin the day at NMEC and the Royal Mummies Hall.
Afterwards, we stroll the streets of Khan El-Khalili, drink tea at one of their famous tea houses and ponder how time moves so quickly in a city of constant history.
The rest of the day is yours at your hotel.
The Eternal Seed
Day 11
At last, the time has come. This morning the Sphinx and the Pyramids of Giza loom large across the horison. The one remaining wonder of the ancient world.
After lunch we continue onward to the Great Egyptian Museum, the largest archeological museum in the world, that holds over 100 000 artifacts from ancient Egypt. Among them - the tresures of Tutankhamun, the boy king’s golden sarcophagus and funerary mask sits at the peak of its collection.
We return to our hotel, and spend the last evening, dinner and night in peace.
Departure Day
The nile carries on as usual, the temples wither on- even though we barely see it. At long last - our journey has been concluded. As you leave - you’ll be less certain than when you came, yet it will still feel like wisdom.
